Hi everyone. Nice to meet you all.

I got into a car accident and messed up my front bumper. Well, only the right side of it. It kind of pops up over the front light a bit. I tried to push it back into place but that was impossible.

Is it easy to remove the bumper on a 88'740? so that I can reset the bumper? Where would I find the places to remove any bolts etc.

the part of the bumper your probably seeing is the plastic cover. underneath that plastic cover is like a steel/alloy I beam with 2 shock compression mounts. the pastic cover is held on by small screw/clip thigns on the under side near the front 'splitter' as it were, once you take this off you will be able to see the true extent of the damage.

Thank you so much. I'm gonna check it this weekend. I hope i can just remove and re-slip it back into place.

So if I wanted to paint my bumper it'll just be the face i remove eh?

Thanks
Haanz

If it is just the plastic cover that has come off then yes. If the underlying metal I beam has bent and its mountings shocked thn that would need to be changed and checked over by a garage as could have damaged the chassis - though if it was just like a car park incident then you should ok ok.
