Hi,
I recently bought a 2002 V70 d5 with about 93K miles and have just towed a caravan for the first time. Even with quite a small weight on the towball the rear end dips severely when stationary, but when moving I had no problems with grounding even on rough and bumpy roads.
I understand that if the car has self levelling suspension this only adjusts when moving but how can i tell if it has this feature? I asked my wife to run alongside to see if the rear end lifted but she couldn't go fast enough!
Does anyone have experience of rubber spring assisters in the rear coils? I think these may be a cheap solution if I don't have the self-levelling.
