hi all, i have an 89' 740 turbo wich i am fixing up. I am a full time mechani on cars and big diesel trucks. the question i have is can i run a 180 degree thermostat without any detrimental side affects in my volvo? I have done this to many vehicles in the past for the summertime to let them run cooler without any issues.

You should not have any issues from running a 180 thermostat.
I have never seen any problems from a 180.
