Hi Everyone

This is my 1st post

I have a 97 T5 V70 estate which I am sorting out.

One of the problems ias the lack of variable wiper delay

I can get the Ipdusa Smart relay (see attached pdf) for $38 but they want an extra $65 for shipping. Is it available in the UK or is there some other kit ?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

VW part number 357 955 531 or newer VW p/n 3B0 955 531 they are the same relay just a change in part # at VW

There is one manufactured by K.A.E. for VW that doesn't work, stay with VW parts.

I haven't tried it yet. Here is the link I got the information from:

Hi
The relay you want is fitted to the VW Golf TDI as standard (part numbers 357 955 531 or 1HM 955 531B)
To set the delay you set the wiper stalk to intermittant then move it back to OFF, wait the desired delay time and then set the wipers to intermittent again. The delay is retained until you alter it again or turn the ignition off after which it defaults to the standard delay.
This really is a worthwhile upgrade. I've fitted them to all my VW's Audis and Volvos over the years. I got each one from a breaker and never paid more than £8 each. They should be fitted as standard.
Cheers
