Have a problem with the front passenger door. When I open it, it doesn't seem to stay open. Does anyone know how to fix it?

are there three hinges on your door, or two? when you open the door, does it make a really loud click sound?

No loud click. Two hinges and a flat metal piece that extends from door to body. I notice the flat metal piece is missing a plastic cover that is on the metal pieces of all the other doors. Wonder if that is the problem. If so, how do I fix / replace it?

is the hinge in the middle? are the two pieces attached to each other or are they just touching? it seems that someone had a problem with that hinge and removed the little screw that keeps it together. please check.

Ok, I found out I need to replace the door check strap. Does anyone know where I can get a door check strap for a v40 for cheap?
