I have a 2006 S40. As of 7500 miles I have brought my vehicle in to complain about the car feeling like its going to stall on three seperate occasions while excelerating. What is so frustrating is that it does not happen frequrenly and happens without notice. I took my car in at 16K and now again at 32K for the same reason

I have taken my vehicle to Weston Volvo in Weston Florida. The are unable to find the problem because they are not able to "duplicate the problem" when it is in their shop. How many times has that happened to all of us. Needless to say, I demanded them to involve the manufacture becuase it was evident that they are not able to trouble shoot something like this that happens occasionaly. There response to me is that they wont call because the first thing the manufacture will ask them is "have you duplicated the problem while in the shop" How ignorant is that. By the history of my complaint, this issue happens unexpecedly and without warning. No *** they cant duplicate the problem.

I am so frustrated becuase I dont not feel safe driving the car that unexpectadley will not acceerate as it shoud in time of need.

Is there anyone out there that has had the same issue with the S40 or other volvo models.

At this point I am contacting Volvo North America as well as the Corporate offices in Sweden!!!

WOW...i had the samething happen to myself. My car would physically stall while driving....center electrical unit would flicker, etc....

The solution is easy as an update for the car computer (it's actually a recall)...I had one dealer said they did it but the problem persisted. Took it to my guy he said the update was never done, they were just lazy cause it takes a while...

It's only an update....my advice is to take it to a Volvo dealer who will care about you and your business...

I contacted Volvo also, I live in Jersey so I threatened to come there, but you don't need to call Sweden...they are in Bergen County, New Jersey
