In the past 2 days my car began having starting problems. When it sits overnight and I try to start it it just keeps cranking for a long time. When it finally starts it stalls right back out. It takes me about 2 minutes to get it running, and when it does run I have to keep it reved up for a minute or so until it clears up cause it sputters like all hell. Once I get it going it runs great as always. If it's warm it also starts fine. It's only happening over night and when I get out of work. I did have a cam actuator problem but i replaced that and it made no difference. I was thinking it might be the cam position sensor and that may be what was causing my check engine light.

Oh and the check engine light is not coming on anymore since the problem started. It used to be on everyday. Now that its not running properly the light stopped coming on????????

It's going to the dealer later this week but I would rather save the money if anyone has an idea.

Sounds fuel related to me if it runs fine after it gets going. Possibly the check valve in the fuel line is stuck open so the fuel is running back to the tank? Or fuel pressure regulator isn't doing it's job properly.

Or possibly you might need to change the fuel filter
