When we bought our XC70 this morning, they offered us scheduled maintenance included brake pads and wipers for 5 years or 60,000 miles for $1,795.

Based on the data I've found, it will cost approximately $2,600 for 60,000 miles. They told us we can go back and buy it separately for the $1,795 after the purchase, but they do expect Volvo to raise the cost. We have every intention of keeping this vehicle up to 100,000 miles or further. We bought the 6 year or 100,000 mile warranty extension to keep us protected for the long haul hopefully.

I will be calling them Monday to buy the maintenance program.

:) Does this scheduled maintenance include Oil.Filter,Tire rotation, ect., for the 60,000 miles..in addition to major components replacement..??? If so, thats not a bad price to pay, especially as you state your keeping the vehicle for 100,000 miles.. If you maintain the car as per stated in your owners manual I'd think in the 200,000 mile longivity or even further....
Volvos have a history of "Long Life", although if not maintained per schedule than they can become very fussy and cost a bundle to repair....
Good Luck and Congrats on the new member of your family...

It includes a ton of different checks, but these changes:
- Oil and oil filter
- Brake pads
- Air filter
- Spark plugs
- Coolant
- Power steering
- Washer fluid
- Wiper blades
- Cabin filter
- Brake fluid
- Parking brake

I think that is all. Does not include tire rotation, that's pretty cheap to do.

And yes, I'd love to have it for 200,000 miles or more.
