Great forum - this is my first post after acquiring a beautiful 1995 940 TD auto wagon. A major problem is lack of leg room for a 70-year-old 6ft 4in driver with a back problem. I seem to have got the seats in the furtheset back position, but there's ridiculously little legroom for such a large car.

Is there any way I can remove the driver seat and reposition the runners - bearing in mind that the seat belt fastening seems to be integral to the seat? How do get to the fastening bolts past all the plastic trim?

Would much appreciate any help.

Colin

For tall people this is the Achilles heel of owning a 940 . I have been toying with the idea of fitting a smaller steering wheel to make getting in and out easier but this would affect the handling. The joke is that everyone thinks of the Sweeds as strapping 6+footers !!!

it's not that easy in the 850, either. i, also, am 6'4" and built like the proverbial brick... house, well you know. anyway, try to squeeze myself in there is funny sometimes.
