Hi,

Just wanted to share with you my growing eagerness to pick up my Brand New Volvo V50 R-Design SE 2.0d.

Am absolutely on pins! Ordered beginning of March and its look like won't be delivered till end of May - so half way almost but just too long. Can't beleive there is such a waiting list on them!

My worry is I am building myself up so much to recieve it that I will be disappointed when it does arrive!.!!

Since i have been looking at them beginning of the year have not seen another R-Design on the road V50 or S40. Seems strange..!!

So hopefully I have made the right decision and if you can all collectivly think positive thoughts i might be receive it quicker :-)

Cheers for listening..

Rob

Welcome and congrats on your new car.
I have been through this 2 month period and it is definitely worth the wait.
Consider that other firms waiting period is 3 to 7 months (Nissan Qashqai, Ford S-Max, VW Tiguan to mention some). 2 months are like nothing in comparison.
The car is fantastic, the R-Design version is complete. Hope you went for some more extra features like High Performance audio (middle range) and the laminated side windows. Think that these two do really worth the extra money.
The dash-integrated garmin navi-bluetooth-mp3 is also a very nice option (though too expensive if sold by volvo).
Wish you the best for your new V50.
Photos, photos, photos.

Hi K13,

Thanks for the encouragement.. With regards to options i did spec up a little bit much to my bosses dissatisfaction :-)

High Performance audio yep - this is worth it then phew!
Winter Pack - Xenon Middle of range not Active.
Rear Park Assist. Essential for parking i find :-)
Family Pack - 2 nippers so looks cool
Titanium Grey
Passenger Airbag switch- Yawn

I think the Rdesign SE comes with the laminated side windows as standard.. hopefully...

Please let it come soon!!!

Cheers

Rob

Maybe collective happy thoughts will help.

Have just ordered a V50 D5 SE Lux, and am going to be waiting till the end of June.

Should be worth the wait though.

Well thanks for the support and hope you receive yours in good time. I obviously hope i receive mine before yours :haha:

I really hope its worth the wait to!!

I asked for an update on my car last week and he said "its on the way to the UK as we speak" then i asked for an update again this week and he said will be with him "soon". I was hoping of a more definitive answer by now but there you go..

Anyone have any idea how long it normally takes from leaving the factory to arrive at the dealership and how long once arrived at dealership it takes to sort the car out for customer delivery..?

Wish i had more patience!

Well Insurance sorted for Taxing the car

The payment has been sent

So no reason why not for Friday delivery (i hope) but when waiting for a car until i am driving home in it - dealers can easily throw spanners in the works!!

Hope to have some Pics for you to look at weekend..!

(sorry for such a self indulgent thread!)
