Hi, I just bought many parts to repair my 2001 V70 2.4T (I have to change the ECU and the wiring harness) so the guy sent me also a part called CEM that I have to replace to fit with the ECU... the problem is I just can't locate the old CEM... I tought it was under the dash (near the driver's door) but the part that I have there is quite different and I found it is called a CMA2 on a diagram.

Do I look at the wrong place? does the part I received is wrong? please help me, I've been waiting for 6 months to find an aftermarket part!!! I wish I can dive my volvo soon!

you will have trouble doing what your doing even if the parts are correct. As the immobiliser pins are kept in the BCM, ECM, and CEM all these parts will have to match just for the car to start. Then if you do get it to start you will find that the other modules in your car wont match the new CEM and you will have many systems refusing to work like your stereo. Also may change the milage of your car. You need to rethink what you are doing.

Hi Raydar, thanks for your advise. I also changed the speedometer... for the stereo, I assume I can go at the dealer and reprogram it no??? I had no choices since the computer burned (as the wiring harness) an I didn't want to pay thousands at the dealer to repair the car!
