haha!

this isnt a scam for definite. Though what it is, is difficult to describe. What he has done is set up a free webpage, and placed a load of hyperlinks (linked to google ads most likely) every time he prompts you to click on one he gets most likely that 0.06 that he claims.

the people on there are fictional, it doesnt take long to generate a totally false webpage that is full of google ads, as each time it is visted he gets money.

take it from me (it engineer by trade)(and general geek about all thigns technical and scientific - vested interest) there is no way that you you can do this.

and i quote from your post:

"I dont know what technoly is behind this because it claims that there is no water or air involved"

yet he is claiming to run a car off water. the structural bond created within water between hydrogen and oxygen needs electricity to seperate the two which requires energy. It also requires energy to create this bond and make water from the two.

Hydrogen based cars have huge batteries which supply the power to help this reaction and together with the oxygen int he air and some other clever piece of technology uses the energy over from this to charge and drive the car using electric motors ... the only by product of this is water vaopur.

the only fuel where there is no air of water involved to my knowledge is solar powered, so unless he has several football pitches of solar panels charging batteries in his back yard then well .... all a bit suspect.

conclusion: He is not a scammer as he points out, but every time you click on a link he gets 6 cents. read up about google ads. also i think he gets that every time you visit the page.

This DOES NOT cost you money, as google pay him because the people who want to advertise pay google to run the ads.

This forum quite possibly uses a non-profit scheme similar to google ads for its search bars and adverts you see around the place.

Matt

ps-anyone else who feels they can shed more light onto this subject regarding google ads etc... dont flame me :) please

unfortunately i don't think they have invented technology for that yet.

Though i might suspect you could find a mini wind turbine to a hat and get her to wear that ... that could keep you in constant supply off freshly charged batteries.

I searched the web for more info on the ".06 per gallon" offer and found this VOLVO web site.

I went to the ".06 per gallon" website and it is not a free site as one poster here said ( You should get your facts right before posting ) It is an angelfire site but it is paid for because there are no ADS at the top of the page

I sent away for the No Money Up Front info and got it last night

The info is really a basic way to purchase gas using a debit card and taking advantage of a promotion offered by a bank

If it is done the way it is presented you REALLY can pay the price he says. But that is based on the price of gas of gas to = .06 if gas iwas @ $3.00 - .08 if it is @ $4.00 - .10 if $5.00

So all you WHO said IMPOSSIBLE - are dead wrong

Just goes to show you - somethings are not what they appear at first

I thought it was a scam too but after seeing the man offered it with No Money Up Front I though I'd see what it was about, its refreshing to see someone who is not out to steal from others

I say Bully for him

and if you had READ the ORIGINAL post you would have noticed this ... and i quote ...

QUOTE
Recently a man invents a car thats runs with water

also if you read it properly, he was reffering to the water being .06 a gallon from the context that is implied.

The thign with the credit/debit bank cards would most likely work yes ... but then you have got to be commiting at least some sort of fraud by not paying your taxes on the fuel.

here in the uk, if you are found to have red diesel or cooking oil in your diesel car you face a severe fine and imprisonment for fraud/tax evation ... and the tax on 1 litre of fuel here is about 80p ~ $1.4 ish, which makes it round about now £1.12 per litre which to you would be $2.50 somewhere....

oh and to the fact of getting my facts correct before i post ... if you actually scroll down and look at some of the 'pictures' animated gifs or whatever, i counted 9 with links outside of angelfire - oh wait ... are these called ads?

definition of ads, advertising and such: (quoted from dictionary.com)

–noun 1. the act or practice of calling public attention to one's product, service, need, etc., esp. by paid announcements in newspapers and magazines, over radio or television, on billboards, etc.: to get more customers by advertising.
2. paid announcements; advertisements.
3. the profession of planning, designing, and writing advertisements.

Somethign which i would also find suspicious is there are multiple links for email all of which i wouldnt be surprised are from the same isp gateway AND the fact its a paid for angelfire website...

too me a paid for angelfire website is an oxy moron. If you wanted it to look professional you would actually go to a domain name broker and buy a proper website name and 10mb of space to put that html page onto.

it takes 5 minutes for someone to do this ... dyndns.com gives out free domain name mask re-directs that can be ported to your home pc with xp running iis which also take 2 minutes to setup. bosh, you got unlimited space and hosting for free (except electric bills)

Rant over.

Matt
