Installing a Blitzsafe VOL/M-LINK1V.1 iPod integration on a 2000 S70 SE w/SC-816 HU.

Does anyone know which of the harness leads is the 12v?

I tried the 2 black leads w/stripes on the smaller of the 2 harnesses, and the results was low, muffled and distorted audio coming from the iPod.

I don't have a voltmeter handy. I thought I would ask - maybe someone has a schematic?

GN-BN for constant 12 volts which I take means green w/ brown stripe

Y-VO for accessory 12 volts for Yellow w/ violet stripe.

Those black wires you mention are not in the wire diagram for your radio. Somebody was nice enough to provide links for full service manuals for most vehicles on either VS or volvoforums.com , look in audio. They are in adobe format.

I've had the car for less then 2 weeks, so I am still figuring where stuff is on the net. I will look at those sites.

I am glad it works well. Just remember to secure the adapter and cables for trouble free operation.
