Hi,
The display in my VOLVO V50 shows outdoor temp. around -40C.
How can I fix it?

take it your car is a 2006 model year, get your front door wiring connectors looked at, volvo should do for free.

I have the same problem couple of times happening to my 2.4. All I do is turn the engine off and back on to fix the problem.

If its a 2006 model year it is deff your front A pillar connections.

Small edit, water can run down from the mirrors to the passenger door module conector and cause problems to, not very common though.
