Hi all,

I have an XC90. When I bought it (second hand) it had Continental tyres on it. I since have had to replace all of them and had thm replaced with Michelin. I have since had excessive road noise and I wondered if anyone else had had the same experience.

Have the tryes been fitted wrongly or are they just not suited to the XC90?
Should I get them removed and put Continental back on?

What tyres work best for 100% road use with least road noise?

Please help.....

Everyone has an opinion...If you had good luck wth the Continentals, then go back.
In reference to the Michelins., its what I now have and believe to be great....
Make sure your tires are pumped up to the recommended pressure., a low tire will certainly make more noise, although probably give you more comfort as long as it is'nt flat or losing air...
As being 'suited to the XC90'., don't believe this makes a difference....
You probably have a sizeable amount of money tied into the Michelins, think I'd just leave them on, unless of course where you purchased will trade for a set of Continentals....Good luck...

Just had 4 new Vredestein ultrac,s put on and they are very quiet,and at £56 a corner fully fitted in Derby they are a bargain :)

I have the same issue with the mich... Road noise is awful... Did you switch back to the conti"s?

I have been through 3 sets of Conti's in the last 5 months. Noise levels are unacceptable. had Michinlins as OEM and had no noise. What gives?
