my switch doesnt work, doesnt matter if i set 1 or 4.

i have a vacum controled unit. So only AC/max works ok. But when i'm driving, sometimes it just turns on and it works ok, but it dies again.

i dissasembled whole board (replacing bulbs) so i checked everything, everything is OK, so it's not the vacuum or switch. i even try to measure electricity (+ line) going to fan switch. here is a problem. Sometimes switch gets power, but most time its without power.

I tried to manualy add + on switch, but only speed nr. 4 works!

im worried that vacuum based board is dying on me.

pls help

tnx

Sounds like the resistors that control the various speeds have gone, I cant remember offhand where they are but my dim memory says they are in or near the blower unit / fan, basically they are just short coils of resistance wire, mounted on a small board.

Just found my haynes, which says its behind the glove box, alongside a relay, its a component mounted on a bracket with a connector,as far as can see its near the fan unit.

Erm, could be the switch or the supply to the switch?
