Hey there, The MAF is the Mass Air Flow sensor. It measures the amount of air delivered to the engine. If you follow the large hose that leads from the breather box to the engine, the first sight of metal is the air intake housing. The plug on that housing is for the MAF sensor. Check the condition and make sure it is plugged in. Clear the code you retreived and you should be back to the glory days!!

Yeah man you definately need that part in working order for the engine to run. If you checked the connector and all looks well, you should clear the code then the car should run fine. Car was running fine before you checked the air filter RIGHT?
