in position 2 on the ignition both ABS and TRACS light are off. do you have a link on how to remove the dash to get into the panel guages? i guess i have to repair or change my ABS module.  <_<

Search this forum. I've also added a clear photo of where the screws are located, that you will need to remove. I highly recommend that you remove ALL screws for this. Dont remove just the ones nearer to the instrument panel only, cos the flexing of the dash pad will not be good for it. To remove, pull the dash cover towards you a little, and lift it up.

As for the instrument panel, once you have the dash cover off, reach to remove the 2 cable bracket connections on the top rear part first, then remove the metal clips at the top front part, if you have a turbo gauge, dont forget to remove the turbo vacuum hose at the back of the instruments panel. lastly, before you're free, remove one last cable bracket at the computer trip meter... Once you have the instrument panel in your hands, inpect all bulbs.

All the best.

I asked because the pressure release valve on them are different. The green one is higher, i believe. Dont remember the exact number though.

If you wiggle on the ignition switch during a slow-move, does the speedo suddenly spring into action?

Did you get the ABS Module Rebuilt ? If your ABS works then its the speedo gear.

Actually, its supposed to be done when you car is in motion. Slowly. yes, it sounds dangerous, so find a LONG and STRAIGHT stretch to do this. You need to do this when the car is in motion, cos without out motion, the speedo wont budge.

The other alternative is the speedo gear like Ryan said. You can get the gear and the full instructions in a CD prepared by IPD. Go to www.ipdusa.com and purchase it there.

As for the ABS, if your ABS light does not light up, then forget it. If its does, then you need to read the codes first. If indeed the ABS is faulty, then you need to replace the ABS module. You do this either by getting a rebuilt or doing it yourself, or buying off a new one (price is impossible...!)

The ABS bulb Im sure is blowed / burned out and if your abs module is not working the speedo wont work If your wheels lock when you slam the brakes then your ABS Module is not working and you need to send it in to get rebuilt
Heres a good place to send it to.
