I've got a '95 850 T5 Wagon and it's blowing white smoke, and lots of it.
at first I thought it would be the PCV system the pipes where pretty badly blocked so I complete replaced it an cleaned out the hoses, also removed the oil sump cleaned all the baked on oil, put new O-rings on the oil-pickup and the other two, cleaned the oil pipe to the turbo with a new O-ring and a gasket. Cause the air-intake manifalt was of the car cleaned it and the fuel injectors as well. There was oil in most pipes and the air intake. any suggestions could it be the turbo, or the head gasket or is worst case scenario the piston rings? Thanks Jan |

any oil in your overflow tank? and antifreeze in your oil?

The reason you get white smoke coming out means that you have radiator fluid in your engine. Easiest way to clean it out is just to run a engine cleaner through it with your gas. I had the same problem with my 850 after i rebuilt the front end.

that will work, but you have to find out why there was antifreeze in there in the first place.
