Hello all -

I hope someone has experienced something similiar and can point me in the right direction......My 850 Speedometer works very sporadically. It will work fine for a day or two, then not register at all. All of a sudden, while driving, it engages and is not always accurate....(i.e., jumps up to 90 mph!) or it works fine. All the while, the odometer/trip odometer work great, as well as the computer speed sensor......In fact, I will reset the speed since 0 occassionally to check how fast I am going, especially around the officers!! :D

There might be a short in the speedo cluster circuit board.

Oh, well, kinda confirmed what I was thinking.....If it was the Speed Sensor on the transmission, then I'd expect the OBC and odometer to be faulty.

That is what I was thinking as well.If you need good instructions on how to pull it apart let me know and I will send them to you.

I had a similar (but not identical) problem once. Speedometer and Odometer both not working. Apparently it was the ABS Modulator. CHanged to a rebuilt one, and presto!
