welcome to the forum. congrats on the 850. stupid question, is it plugged in? check to see that it hadn't worked itself loose because of any items in the trunk. you never know, it might be as simple as that.

Also check that it is plugged into the rear of the head unit. Sometimes it is the simplest things.

ok, thanks for the feedback.
at least it doesnt sound like anything to technical..lol
ill check it when i get back to the uk, im in brasil for another week at least.
hopefully it could be something that simple.

would no message at all show up if the changer is not connected or would there be an error message on the radio???

BTW..details of the common abs module failure on here, sound exactly like the problem im having with tracs/abs...i think someone has removed the warning lights :s so i am going to attempt the fix myself at some point in the near future so no doubt you will hear about my experiences here.

Thanks for the adivce.

Hello, I just read your post and needed a smoke anyway. My CD player has been disconnected since i bought the car in July. I have never tried to push the CD button on the head unit until now. The response was nothing, radio continued to play, no error message, nothing at all. The cigarette was good though!
