Could someone in our Fraternity help me with a small problem as to how to get at the in tank pump. Do I need any Special tools & if I manage to get to the pump could it be Silted up leading to the under floor pump working to hard or suffering from lack of lubrication as the luburcating petrol is not getting through in suffient quanties
Regards J. Don.

See:
http://www.ipdusa.com/product.asp?strParen...hStartRecord=21

You'll want a new filter, hose and O ring seal. Maybe a new "bung nut" (lock ring) if the old one is damaged during removal or in bad shape. The nut can be removed with a brass punch or with this tool:
http://www.ipdusa.com/product.asp?strParen...hStartRecord=21

On a sedan lift up the carpet in the trunk and you'll see a metal plate, once removed you'll see the top of the sending unit held by the nut. As manxman will probably tell you, don't use this area as an ashtray for your lit cigarette! :gunsmilie:

Hi,
Thanks for your helpful tips, Ihave had a relation make me a
Bung nut Tool, Have put easing oil around the fitting as it seems fairly rusty & i do not wish to rupture the top of the tank, so fingers crossed I will attempt to turn the bung nut in a couple of days &
hopefully find & cure my problem.

Regards J.Don.
