Drives: 2001 Volvo V70 T5

I have a 2001 V70 T5 that is surging at about 2500 RPM when only a very light pressure is maintained on the throttle. ie just keeping the car ticking over to maintain speed. At the mo it appears to only happen when the engine is warm. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
