i am new to the forum, a read up on what to expect so to speak. It has been a joy to drive and I think that I got a halfway good deal. It has 27K mile, and got it for $19,500. Carfax said it was clean, no accidents. It was a lease trade in.

Welcome to Volvo ownership :)

You did get a good price - congrats XC 90 is a great vehicle - but do get the extended warranty if at all possible, these do have little and not-so-little bugs that can be expensive.

welcome to the forum. congrats on your 90, my brother-in-law has one and loves it. nolancam is right in that you should get the extended warranty. it is always the niggling little things that ruins a wonderful experience. hope we can be of some help, hop on over to the xc90 board and ask away.

We did the same thing, bought our 2005 in 2006 fresh off a 1-year lease. Not a bad way to do it, good records, good price, etc.

Watch out though, our XC90 was the first Volvo we bought and now (18 months later) we have three. These things grow on you :)

This is my first post following introduction.
It looks like you can purchase Volvo XC90 Service Plans online.

I just bought mine, and after 8 years driving 3 cars into the ground, I just want to not have to deal with any more repairs.

1. It looks like you can purchase warranty plans anywhere. (e.g. @ warrantydeals.com)
Has anyone done that and if so, what has your experience been.

I want a reasonable extended warranty to cover (preferably bumper to bumper) through 100,000. Should I get this from Volvo Directly ?? Has anyone done this ? If so what was your experience.

Please let me know.

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW XC90!.

They are Safe and solid cars. Volvo has basically the best handling out of all of the other veichles . The Volvo is a great car and will never break down. I would highly reccomend one to anyone who is looking for a good change from all the same cars out there.

I got some great info at http://www.buyingadvice.com.

They also look great customized.

if poss, get the extended warranty through volvo, unless a comparable one is cheaper with a third party dealer, but i prefer to deal with the dealership one on one, that way there is no side dealings and crap.

Hi

Thanks!

I did see remotes on e-bay. Do you know if the dealership can obtain a remote code from your current remote? I found a 6 digit number/alpha in my user manual, I wondering of this is the code to my current remote
. I looking to have 2 remotes. One dealership I contact told me that they would not be able to obtain my current code from my remote & that I would have to buy a "NEW' one. Ummmm???
