hi! my 2000 v40 is close to 55000 miles. last winter i had no problems. in the past 2 weeks i've been hearing an off/on irregular thumping? noise that sounds like 'missing a beat' during the first 5-10 minutes. as the engine warms up, it goes away. i don't normally wait for more than 1 minute after starting the engine. tonight i got a 'check engine'. are the 2 connected? thx.
