Drives: 1990 Volvo 740 turbo
I have a 1990 740 turbo that runs great but today the climate control switch got stuck on defrost. It will not budge out of defrost to any other positions. I pulled off the cover and tried examining it and found this small metal spoke looking piece that was loose inside the climate control unit. I held that piece down and was able to move it to the A/C and other positions just fine BUT no matter what position it is in now the air only blows out of the defroster. Any ideas on how to fix this? Need a new climate control unit? ECC? Thanks!

I have the same problem. Did you get any solutions to this? How did you get the slider assembly out?
