I think they are 330mm and yes, I think they can fit with 18" rims.
The 302mm are from the S and V70 series "R" and for these ones I'm sure you can upgrade your 850 brakes, just need to replece the brackets, rotors and rims. 17" at least to have enougt clereance.

Here is a link for the S60 R brakes upgrade. Expensive stuff.

And do you need some adapters or something? Or the brackets just fit. Nice one

honestly, i don't remember, it was done with a whole lot of other stuff at the same time. if i remember correctly, i got everything, spindle, rotots, driveshaft, etc. it was from a wrecked xc90 twin turbo. i pretty much halfed the car, everything in the front came with me. my friends and i just mixed and matched until it all came together and worked properly. let me look and see what i did.

the way i was thinking was, volvo-volvo, how hard could it be. if i had to do it over again, i would find a v70 R and get those since the 850 is the 70 series father. same architecture, just upgraded.

I already got the 302mm rotors but I'm still looking the brackets. And it's the same caliper. I'm on it, just the xc90 idea sound great

No, the brackets are the pieces that hold the calipers and they're attach to the car with a couple big bolts. If you wanna upgrade to 302mm you have to change the brackets, rotors and have 17"s to have enought clearance. You use your stock calipers.

I can not find one wrecked "R", thats the problem

oh that bracket. yeah i used the xc90 ones, just modified then a little with a huge hammer and a blow torch. and i meant find a wrecked xc90, the R's are hard to find since people just buy the whole car instead of parts. good luck

Greek,

How big are the XC90's brake-discs? And how big are your rims? I dont think they'll fit the 17inchers, right?

Indeed, finding and resting assured that the brackets fit nice are crucial in maintaining safety. Am also interested in finding bigger braking kit.

Thanks.

oh didn't say they don't rub. the rear tires are wider than the fronts. i took a hammer to the inner front wheel wells. i know, i know, it's a part of the structure, i've heard it all before. it made sense then and it hasn't hurt it at all. yet. it rubs only when fully turned, not much but you can feel it. i just don't turn it all the way, or try not to. other than that, only under full compression will it make contact, and i try not to jump too many cars and potholes with the 850. just don't like all the hardlines for oil and such being so close to the ground. am still looking for a better solution to the under tray. will post when i find a good one.

If you're tired of gauging your own 3/4 full turns, you can get the steering-rack spacer that the dealer has. It limits the turning radius somewhat, but to the driver, you'd think that you're making full-wheellock turns.

:)
