SIZE=7][COLOR=blue]Please help!! I have a Volvo V40 GDi 1.8i, It has high CO at FAST IDLE and second fast idle, have replaced the lambda sensor, airflow meter, plugs and the cat. I am relly stuck but am also at the point of scrapping my poor car I just don't know what to do. :puzzled:

What was the lambda reading y like at fast idle, if this was out of spec (which it must have been if the co% is out after cat replacement) why was the cat replaced?.


on a serious note it could be many things but worst case senario is this. does it run rough, rattle and knock, rev up and down by itself and cut out, if it does a carbon build up in your engine could be the problem. A engine decoke would poss be required, this involves stripping and rebuilding your engine at great expense. Obviously cannot tell that this is the problem for sure but may be specially if your car getting to 70,000 ml plus and you are getting these symptoms (specially the rattle/ticky engine).
