So I took my '99 s80 into the shop to see if they could figure out where my coolant leak was and they came back to me to say they think it is the water pump not functioning correctly. Of course they mentioned that since it will take a lot of work to get to the water pump, I should replace my timing belt and thermostat as well. That makes sense to me since I have over 130k miles on the car and I had the timing belt replaced at 105k and I don't think the thermostat was every replaced. They quoted me between $800 to $1,000 to get it all done. Does that sound fair?
