Help -- I know I have a short because my dome light wire melted -- Now the chime/dinger on my 89 240 will not stop when the key is in the ignition -- where is the chime so I can disconnect it -- I cannot find it -- please , please help.

Look for whats in the attached picture above the pedals, behind the dash.

The two wires will be grey and white/black or white/red and white/black.
