Hi everyone, Im Bill, new here..Have a "driving me crazy" problem....I have a 2004 S60R w/50k miles, i dont know what happened, but one day i felt a sputter, and the check engine light came on. NOW, everytime I idle, or drive slow, the car jumps and feels like its not getting fuel, like it turns off and on, but still barely running. I changed the fuel filter, the light shut off for 10 minutes so I thought the problem was solved, but, yet again, same thing. ill be driving, all ok, then I feel a little sputter, and all hell starts breaking loose. Its died on me 5 times, not while doing 100+mph, only when im cruising at the same low speed. However, all 5 times, ive opened my gascap and heard a hiss, then the car started but still sputtered. Im absolutely loosing my mind over this. I dont know how to pull codes to tell you guys. Can someone please help me? I love this car but I cannot keep taking pills to stop my sterss lol....

Ive:
Replaced air filter to K&N
Replaced fuel filter
Went full synthetic oil
Drained gastank to see if there was water or metal/dirt

For the codes, get an OBD II reader at Pep Boys/Autozone/etc.

Other than checking the MAF I don't know what to tell you.

Exact same thing happened to my wife today!! She was driving up a hill, lost power, barely made it up the hill then CEL came on!!

Hi,

Having very similar problem with my 2002 S60 T5.
Sent it to garage for check and service.
When diagnoised it was rear Lamba sensor.
Very hesitant at idle and first minute from start.
