I filled my tank up last weekend. I have put 90 miles on since the fill up. I currently have 1/2 tank left. This is not normal. Any ideas what may be going on?
I drive to and from work, highway 20 miles round trip daily.

Just wondering what type of fuel you are using? I assume you know Volvo recommends using 91 octane or better. Here in the US the only one I found with 91 is Sunoco. I always run 93 octane. My owners manual says 87 is minimum but 91 or higher is recommended for optimal performance. I was trying to be cheap and save money by trying 87 and I found my car ate it up like it was water. It's worth the extra 20 Cents for the super because it lasts so much longer. I get my best mileage from the Shell V-Power 93. I have also have a noticeable increase in performance with the V-Power gas.

87 octane. I also have studs on (I am in Idaho). They are coming off in a week. That hasn't helped either. I'll use 91 next time I fill up and note if there is a change.

Have you checked exhaust system leak, cylinder leak, changed fuel filter .... My advice get it diagnosed by qualified Volvo mechanic/workshop since it could also be your cooling system, head gasket, even cambelt etc.

Thanks for the info. I'll see what I can find for service in my area.
