My 88 240 finally failed me. Just came back from a 2 1/2 week vacation and she started right up, while my boyfriends fancy truck wouldn't start. But now, a week later, I just went out to start the car and nothing. It turns over but doesn't want to quite catch. It has been pouring all night and all day. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, I haven't driven it since I got back a week ago, so this is its first start. Any advice?

Hard start issues related to moisture are often traced to electrical problems. Check your ignition wiring, distributor rotor and cap.
