Hi All,

I have just received my replacement radiator for my 92 940GL. (My upper hose flange broke) However before I unwrap this little puppy i was trying to confirm it was a match.

Upon closer inspection I noticed that it has a sensor hole on the upper right side above the ATF connector. I don't seem to have one on my current radiator. Googling returned that it might be a sensor hole for the electric fan, but where is it currently on my original radiator? Do i need to plug it with something otherwise it will leak right?

The Radiator is a Cryomax 1577
the box reads
OAV2457
940 Series
A/T 92-95
DPI #1577

Vendor part 0R-001577-A3CM - Volvo 940 w/Sensor 92-96

Do I need a sensor? Do I already have a sensor (I know the electric fan stayed on for a while when the car had stopped - so there must be something)

Whats it look like? I've attached a couple of pics of the radiator still in plastic wrap.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Hey there, your vendor part shows 940 W/Sensor. Was there any option for one without the sensor? Whatever the case, you probablly just want to get the thing in. I don't think it would be a problem to cap off the sensor port. I could'nt see it making a difference in performance.Maybe somebody else could verify.

When I ordered mine, it came with a plug but I lost it when opening. If you didn't do the same thing as I did, you can order a plug from many different places for about 5$ including shipping.

Thanks, Checked the box found no plug :(

Any idea what this plug is called? I'm googling like mad.. Or any chance you have an old email /receipt with a part # from when you bought yours

Appreciate your help.
Cheers,
Philco
