Hi all, I just bought a 1993 440 base model without central locking.
Everything works, just a slight problem when locking the driver's door. It takes up to a minute of delicate manipulation of the key to enable it to be turned in the locking direction. Unlocking is not a problem. The simple solution is a new lock-barrel, but this means carrying 2 keys, also some expense. I notice that the passenger door locking button can be pushed down in order to lock it, but the driver's door has some kind of inhibitor to prevent this (to avoid unintentionally locking the keys in the car). I would like to remove this inhibitor so that I can lock the driver's door by pressing down the locking button. Anyone out there who knows how this can be done?
