Hi all
I have another problem with me car
i dont know if it is a problem or normal but everytime i boot into turbo
i get a strong smell of petrol im wondering if there is a leak or if the mixture is too rich. is there anything i can check to see where this maybe coming from?
this is my first volvo and im not really familiar with the common faults

Do the petrol smell only come when you press the turbo?

Check for leaks. If you can smell it in the cabin, then chances are the leak is in the engine bay. Trace the fuel-line slowly and carefully and look for dried stains of petrol.

Hi there
yes the smell is strong when i kick down
and comes through the air vents i have opend my bonnet and tried to find some signs but to no avail I was thinking maybe the mixture is to rich?
i will try for a tune up maybe? :thumbsup:

If the mixture is too rich, you'll prolly smell it from the exhaust at the rear. Not in the cabin.

I am thinking a punctured/leaking fuel-line. Check beneath the car for the fuel-lines and look for dried stains.
