Saturday we flew down from Boise to Phoenix to pick up a 1999 Volvo V70 Wagon that I purchased on ebay. What an adventure. It was gut wrenching thinking that I had purchased a vehicle having not actually seen the car, driven the car, etc. The entire flight down I questioned my judgement, my sanity and everything else. My wife continued to tell me it was all good, that this was cool, something we'd remember for a long time to come and even if the car was a bad deal, we'd take a pass on it and enjoy a few days in the sun. We got to the dealer (it was a guy and his brother, this is all that they do apparently) - the car was aboput 1/2 the price that they are locally - and the car was perfect - everything i could have hoped for. It drove perfectly, was extremely comfortable, and gave us no problems at all (other than the windshield washers dying or getting clogged) for the entire 1200 mile test drive. What a trip! We drove to vegas on day one, then to SLC, ut on day two, then home to boise on day 3. We put the car through the test of weather conditions, mountains, high speeds, and white out conditions and it performed flawlessly! My wife now is considering trading in her 2005 Chrysler Pacifica for a volvo wagon - I told her that we should give the car a few months just to ensure that we don't have a slew of problems pop up. Anyway - we're extremely pleased with the car. I look forward to participating on the forum now that i have the car I always wanted!
