Drives: 1999 Volvo S70 T5
Had alternator replaced on 1999 S60 T5 yesterday, on way home found rpm limited to 4000. Accelerates fine until 4000 then cuts out like it's missing. Same happens when sitting and pedal pushed. Engine light is on (has been for months, service reset it a couple times and then said.....ignore it). :beer: time for superbowl!

hey
i got my car back from a body shop. got hit by a lady who didnt see me! and i have transmission problems, like its out of place. right now my "D" is in neutral
well when i first got into the car, i put the car into "D" like i would normally then all of a sudden, the yellow arrow appeared and started flashing, i accelerated and the power immidiatlety got cut once i hit 4K rpm. so im guessing it has to do with the transmission
i dunno what but thats my guess!

Engine wont rev past 4000 rpm in neutral or park, thats normal. If it wont rev above 4000 when in gear and moving then you got a prob.
