This morning I tried to unlock the car with the power lock remote, only the front doors unlock. I get in the car, the fuel gage doesn't work either, can the problem be related to those big square fuses ? Because it seems that the regular fuses are OK.

Thanks

I removed and I replaced each and every relay and fuse in the electrical compartement in the trunk, and it now works.

Most unusual. My v70 did the exact same thing on Saturday March 1, 2008. I wonder if your V70 and mine rolled off the line the same day :) I suspect a relay, as all of the fuses are intact, but will try your method before opening my wallet to my Volvo dealer's filthy gready little hands.

Removing and reinstalling the fuses in the rear panel solved the problem. I discussed this with a local import mechanic and was informed that the issue we had was caused by a controller error. By pulling and reinserting one of the fuses (who knows which one) the controller was restarted.
