Installed new brake rear brake rotor and it does not turn freely and makes a rubbing (swish) sound for every rotation...continues to rub when the entire wheel is reinstalled. Took the new rotor off, put the old rotor back on, and now that one has the same problem! (The old rotor did not rub at all before I removed it). Is the E-brake shoe now rubbing on the rotors? I tried adjusting the cable tension in the center consul, didnt help. I dont know if it is the dust guard, hub, e-brake or what. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

Ok, turns it is the E-brake shoes are rubbing on the inside. They are very touchy and slight adjustments of the spring and cable screw both never seem to make things perfect. After putting the brake on and off, the rotor rubs again. Also, the E-brake unit is movable...clips do not hold too well. How can I over come the constant rubbing following adjusting and pulling the brake lever?

you had to lessen the slack on the ebrake before you removed the rotor. you need to adjust the ebrake. do you know how to do that?

Thanks for the help! I adjusted the E-brake and would still get minimal rubbing...so, I could not adjust it perfectly. Seems like the rubbing has gone away once I started driving the car. I now only notice the rubbing sound of the new brake pads when pressing the brake pedal.
