My V40 ran out of batteries and I had the wrong code. I know have the correct code but the stereo is stuck on OFF. I have left the ignition at position 1 for over 2 hours (but not in a long run...). Can anyone give me some tips?

Drives: 2003 Volvo V40 2T Sport
Using one key, leave the ignition on and with the other lock the doors.
In 2 hours you will find that it will now be asking for a code.
