Hey all!

I just bought an 07 S40 2.4i with about 23K and love it so far. I live in South Bend, IN, where it's currently six degrees, and was wondering if you guys had any tips for winterproofing. I just got my oil changed and tires rotated at Meineke and wondered what else would be good to do at this stage in the game. Does anyone know where to find the typical mileage deaths of the major parts, or what parts I'll be needing to replace often and might be able to obtain for cheap online (I just had to overpay for a filter at Meineke)? Also, have any of you been successful in getting an iPod to work in it without an FM tuner?

congrats on the volvo and welcome to the forum. get a tuneup and change the antifreeze. have then do a once over on all parts. you of all people should know what cold does to car parts that aren't taken care of. try fcpgroton.com for parts, everybody here loves those guys. if I am not mistaken , there is a specific part that hooks right up to your model for the ipod. check the relevant forum on your specific model for info. good luck and post some pics.
