Today my audio kinda went haywire one me. The volume faded in and out a bit ultimately ending in a "pop" and a burning smell from the rear of the car? Replaced the blown radio fuse to see the results and the radio seems to play fine for a moment however is no where near as powerful as it was previously. This went on for approx 20 seconds prior to blowing the fuse yet again. What components are located in the rear that control the audio? Do I have a factory subwoofer? I have had this car less than a week so kinda unsure about location of components. Thanks Derek

Hi Derek - mine appears to be fixed to the underside of the front most wooden panel over the spare wheel well - the one closest to the rear seat. Some kind soul has completely butchered the wiring in mine - have got to trace every wire back to every speaker to install a new cd player!

Sorry Derek - on further investigation, it's not the amplifier but the aerial booster. The amplifier in mine is behind the front of the centre console, under the heater - looks like a big aluminium heat sink. Hope this helps.

Neil.
