HI,

I have my eye on a 1996 460si 1.8 and was looking for some advice...this will be my first Volvo and it will be mainly used to ferry me to and from work, we have a family car which will be used for everything else. Is there anything I should look out for or is this a perfect buy formy needs??? It will also be the first second hand car I have bought!!

Well i am on my 3rd volvo 440, the newest yet - 1992, the cars previous to that were 340's. I travel 100 miles a day and each 440 has either passed or got near to 200,000, the last one I passed on to a new owner at 197,000 miles, they are great cars and pretty economical when running right, mine averages 34mpg on a cross country run (no motorway) and gets up to about 46 on a good motorway run.
