I just purchased an '08 XC90 Sport, and I am considering installing some mud flaps. I have two questions:

1) Will they fit on this model?

and

2) Assuming they do, will they look good?

I'm worried that the mud flaps might be overkill since the Sport model already has the extra molding and trim.

Will you be mudbogging in your 90? Why the flaps? In my opinion, it ruins the lines of the vehicle. It's not like it will be used to ford a river or tour the serengeti, unless you will be fording rivers and touring the serengeti. Either way, a good flap needs to be drilled into place, not just held in place by the small screws that are already there.

No, I will not be doing any type of serious off-roading. I've just always thought mud flaps look kind of cool. The vehicle already has some small mud flaps behind the front wheels. I just thought I'd add some behind the rear wheels strictly for cosmetic reasons. I suppose I could always give it a try and then take them off if I don't like the way it looks.

I've seen body kits that have an integrated mud-flap like piece on it. I think it was cartech that made it. that looked kind of cool with the lines of the 90. keep us posted and post some pics, before and after. that way we can all revel in your happiness with you.
