Hello guys,

I wanted to ask a question as I am about to replace tires on my 2001 V70 2.4T
It currently has 16" original wheels and tires on those wheels are 205/55 R16

Can I put 215/55 R16 tires on these stock 16" wheels?

Thanks a lot.

:00000732: You should be able to do that. I had the same size tire on my S60 and I went to a 225/45/17 when I upgraded and the added width didn't create any problems. Just make sure that your wheels are wide enough (7" up to 7.5" should be OK) to handle the wider tire.

Thanks for the reply.

I am trying to find the spec for stock 16" wheels for 2001 Volvo V70 2.4T, but can't seem to find it in the manual.

So you saying if I go from stock tire 205/55 R16 to 215/55 R16 I should be fine?

Thanks again.
