Hi there, Can anybody tel me what the 440/460 diesels are like. MPG, BHP etc. Iv had an old Peugeot 306 D turbo, and a skoda fabia VRS before bat am now looking for something cheap with 50+ Mpg. Never encountered a Volvo Diesel before, whats the verdict? Cheers

hi, ya, ive a 1995 440 tdi 1.9. [ 138,000 miles] 90 bhp . [ renault engine] mine does about 42/44 mpg , the motor mags say , 50/52 mpg . but thats when they were newer. mines a bit slow up to 40 mph, [ is this normal ? ] then it takes off. when turbo kicks in, its my first volvo. & i like it. hope this helps. :thumbsup:
