I´ve just changed my car´s windshield with a non original one since the original was not in stock. New one is ok but the rain sensor is not working. I´ve dismantled it and seems to work correctly until everything is assembled again. I wonder if there is any adjustment to be performed - perhaps some silicone between the glass and sensor -or simply the new glass is not compatible with the sensor.

I think that the rain sensor windshields have a coating on them to help them sense the water. When the coating isn't there, they can't "see" the water. You might need an original part for it to work.
