I have a bad fuel pump in the back near the driver side rear tire. It's not leaking to the point where I notice the gas mileage is effected, but it smells really strong on the outside. I can't get it fixed till next Fri. Do you think I will be ok driving the car till then? There's nothing around that area that gets so hot it would ignite gasoline, is there?

fuel fumes are known to travel, and your exhaust pipe isn't that far away. You'd prob only have to stop at a light, and have a slight waft of wind. No guarantees, but risky. Look up the flash temp of fuel, & I'd expect an exhaust pipe to be pretty hot........... In fact, you might not be your own ignition source, so I'd be even more unwilling to risk it. How many lives are you prepared to risk????
