Hi, greetings from a mew member and the proud owner of a 150.000 plus mileage v40! However, on a recent trip the fuel guage died on me! It shows empty and the emergency reserve light is on, tho the tank is full!! Any ideas??

Seen a few where the wiring at the sender unit/float breaks. I have repaired the wiring on a couple. This involves removing the fuel pump from the tank, which is accessed from the inside of the car under the rear seat cushion.

Hi, having a similar sort of problem on my 2.0T, does any one know how to remove the fuel pipes (x2) from the top of the fuel pump/sender assembly? Also is it possible for me to undo the the black ring by knocking it round with a screwdriver/hammer?
